Yuengling Now Available in Louisiana

Pottsville, PA, August 1, 2016 – D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery, starts rolling out in Louisiana this week.

D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. is a fifth generation, American owned and family operated company that started in Pottsville, PA in 1829.

Louisiana is the nineteenth state to distribute Yuengling products and will be rolling out with its three core brands:

  • Yuengling Traditional Lager: a rich amber lager with well-balanced taste and distinct character, this flagship beer delivers the quality and taste that rivals any craft beer today at an affordable price;
  • Yuengling Light Lager: a 99 calorie offering with the full-bodied, gratifying flavor akin to the flagship Traditional Lager;
  • Yuengling Black & Tan: a satisfyingly smooth blend of dark-brewed Porter and a regional favorite, Premium beer.

America’s Oldest Brewery additionally brews a year-round craft-centric portfolio, the Brewer’s Collection, which includes its seasonal offerings and two Heritage Brands, Lord Chesterfield Ale and Dark-Brewed Porter, both brewed since 1829. Louisiana will see Yuengling’s seasonal portfolio soon after the state’s initial roll out. This portfolio includes Summer Wheat, Oktoberfest and IPL.

Yuengling is proud to announce their four wholesaler partners chosen to distribute the Yuengling portfolio in Louisiana: Crescent Crown Distributing, Eagle Distributing, Choice Brands Inc., and Venture Marketing.

Yuengling to Present Donation to VFW at National Convention

Pottsville, PA, May 26, 2016 – D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., is pleased to announce it will recognize the sacrifices that America’s veterans have made by presenting a generous donation to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States (VFW) at the 117th VFW National Convention in Charlotte N.C. this July. The donation will go toward the VFW’s many veteran and military assistance programs which help countless veterans, service members and military family members each year.

America’s Oldest Brewery first began supporting the VFW through its #LagersForHeroes program, which invites consumers to contribute to the VFW in one of three ways: by texting “Hero” to 90999, visiting Yuengling.com/VFW or tweeting @VFWHQ #Donate and the dollar amount they’d like to give. This program runs Memorial Day through the 4th of July and displays Yuengling Traditional Lager and Light Lager with the line “Grab A Lager & Toast A Hero.”

Jennifer Yuengling, vice president of operations, will attend the VFW’s upcoming convention to present the contribution from the brewery. The military has always been a community which Yuengling has a connection with and has supported on both corporate and local levels for many years. Focusing efforts on the VFW’s programs has allowed America’s Oldest Brewery to enhance that connection and make a positive impact on all veterans from the time of enlistment through separation.

Campaign is largest in America’s Oldest Brewery’s history

PHILADELPHIA, PA (March 21, 2016) – D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery®, is launching its largest marketing initiative in its nearly two century history. The brewery’s new “Respect. It’s Earned.™” campaign, created with Philadelphia and Boston-based agency Allen & Gerritsen, celebrates the craftsmanship, tradition and perseverance of the family-owned and operated company and its signature beer, Yuengling® Traditional Lager.

The “Respect. It’s Earned.” campaign takes Yuengling’s history and makes it tangible by showcasing elements of the brewery and its traditional brewing process that speak to its authenticity. Imagery of the nearly two-century-old hand-dug fermentation caves that were used for storage before refrigeration, the on-site brew house, and time-tested bottling line underscore the brewery’s legacy as America’s Oldest Brewery and its dedication to brewing quality beers.

The 360-degree “Respect. It’s Earned.” campaign, which will run throughout Yuengling’s 18-state footprint, includes TV, print and digital, as well as both on and off premise retail promotions. In 2016, Yuengling will nearly double its media spend behind this campaign.

  • Yuengling Light Lager: a 99 calorie offering with the full-bodied, gratifying flavor akin to the flagship Traditional Lager;
  • Yuengling Black & Tan: a satisfyingly smooth blend of dark-brewed Porter and a regional favorite, Premium beer.
