Lager Brined & Smoked Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 2 cups of water
- 1/4 cup of kosher salt or favorite seasoning
- 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
- 2 12oz cans of Yuengling Lager
- 4lbs of chicken wings (whole wings work best)
Steps
- Line a 2-quart bowl or saucepan with a 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
- Add water, salt, and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- Stir in Yuengling Lager and add chicken.
- Tightly seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 8 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
- Take chicken out of the brine, rinse well, and pat dry. Season wings with your favorite rub.
- Heat the smoker to 275-300 degrees and place the wings in the smoker. Smoke until wings reach an internal temperature of 170 (approximately 1.5 hours).
- Remove then add your favorite BBQ sauce on the wings. Serve with an ice cold Yuengling Lager.
