Lager Brined & Smoked Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/4 cup of kosher salt or favorite seasoning
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 2 12oz cans of Yuengling Lager
  • 4lbs of chicken wings (whole wings work best)

Steps

  1. Line a 2-quart bowl or saucepan with a 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
  2. Add water, salt, and sugar. Stir until dissolved.
  3. Stir in Yuengling Lager and add chicken.
  4. Tightly seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 8 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
  5. Take chicken out of the brine, rinse well, and pat dry. Season wings with your favorite rub.
  6. Heat the smoker to 275-300 degrees and place the wings in the smoker. Smoke until wings reach an internal temperature of 170 (approximately 1.5 hours).
  7. Remove then add your favorite BBQ sauce on the wings. Serve with an ice cold Yuengling Lager.
