Pittsburgh, PA (January 30, 2019) – Steel City area runners and beer lovers rejoice! Registration for the first Yuengling Gold Rush 5k Run/Walk is now open. Sponsored by Yuengling Brewery, the race will kick off in Pittsburgh North Shore at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 30 and end at Stage AE.

All participants will receive a Yuengling Gold Rush 5k tech race shirt, one free Yuengling Golden Pilsner 16oz can (21+), and live entertainment.

The Gold Rush 5k Walk Run was inspired by Yuengling Brewery’s Golden Pilsner. Launched in 2018, Yuengling Golden Pilsner is a modern pilsner born from six generations of brewing expertise and crafted with the perfect balance of hop and malt character for a smooth, refreshing taste. Registration currently costs $42 plus an online processing fee.  With a capacity of only 2,500 runners, the race is expected to sell out quickly.

The race will be partnering with Team Red White & Blue (Team RWB) as the official charitable partner. A portion of the proceeds from every 5k registration will go directly to Team RWB to support its mission to enrich the lives of America’s veterans by connecting them to their community through physical and social activity.
