Lager – Better by the Pound
Pottsville, PA, April 2005 – D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery is
proud to announce its popular Traditional Lager will now be offered in a 16 oz aluminum
can. Beginning mid-April the (six) four-pack units will be available to consumers in both
on and off premise outlets throughout the company’s ten-state territory. “The package has a very bold and striking design, we believe it will be an attractive way for distributors
and retailers to offer consumers our great tasting Lager at the convenience and price of
a four pack,” says David A. Casinelli, COO.
Since its introduction in 1988, Yuengling’s amber-colored Traditional Lager has become
the company’s flagship brand and has been recognized for double digit growth over the past four years. “The success and popularity of the brand has prompted consumers and
wholesalers to request the 16 oz can, so we listened and added the package to
compliment the existing portfolio. We are very pleased to welcome this latest addition to
the Yuengling family,” adds Casinelli.
Also contributing to the project was Ball Corporation of Broomfield, CO who was
responsible for the production of the can.
