Pottsville, PA, October 2004 – D. G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America’s Oldest Brewery in conjunction with its 175th year anniversary soars into South Carolina. D.G. Yuengling & Son announced the appointment of the first two distributors in the state of South Carolina, The Yahnis Co. and Henry J. Lee Distributors.

South Carolina is the eleventh state in which Yuengling will distribute and sell its product. This expansion is the result of Yuengling’s strategic plan to expand and build its presence in the Southeast market.

The Yahnis Co. officially launched Yuengling in April and is currently serving the Columbia and Myrtle Beach markets. “We are honored to distribute products for America’s Oldest Brewery and are excited about growing its market share in South Carolina,” stated Byron Yahnis, Owner of The Yahnis Co. “We had a very successful introduction for the brand. The products are fun to sell and the public’s response has been extremely positive,” boasts Yahnis.

Henry J. Lee Distributors officially launched Yuengling in October in the Beaufort and Charleston markets. Owned by Dennis Lee, the combined markets cover a seven county area, in the southeastern part of the state. Vice President and General Manager, Jim Wicks stated “South Carolina hasn’t seen anything like it!

Yuengling has a unique portfolio of fine beers that will definitely have a presence here in South Carolina.
